Claims
Does ESCO charge a deductible at the time of a claim?
ESCO does not have deductibles at the time of claim. However, you may be charged a fee for professional services performed by your practitioner in the event of a loss, damage or repair claim. Your ESCO policy does not cover any fees for professional services.
What happens after a claim, how is my coverage affected?
REPAIR: If your hearing aid is repaired, your coverage will continue uninterrupted.
SINGLE REPLACEMENT: If your hearing aid is replaced, the policy is considered earned. New coverage will be needed for the replacement.
What if I have a claim while on a payment plan?
If a replacement is needed, you will need to pay the balance of the policy before the claim is authorized.
Why do I have to go through my hearing provider to file a claim?
Hearing aids are sophisticated devices and require specialized services such as fitting and programming which only they can provide.
How long will my claim take?
Once your practitioner submits a claim, ESCO will respond within one working day. Contact your practitioner to have claim information completed and submitted within 90 days of your loss or damage. No notary is required.
Coverage
Is normal wear and tear covered?
Yes. ESCO’s Platinum Plan offers coverage not just loss & damage but also includes repairs for normal wear and tear.
What’s the difference between accidental damage and repair?
Accidental Damage means unintentional physical damage sustained by your hearing aids. EXAMPLES:
- Goes through washing machine
- Pet got hold of it
Repair is gradual deterioration, normal wear and tear and electronic failure. EXAMPLES:
- Stops working, dead, weak
- Battery drain
- Intermittent
My hearing aid is out of warranty. Can I get coverage?
Yes. If the manufacturer's warranty has expired, ESCO coverage would be a wise choice. Even if your aid has not had warranty coverage for years, most hearing care practitioners would suggest adding ESCO coverage.

ESCO coverage is available on most manufacturers. Please contact our customer service team 1-800-992-3726 if you are unable to locate your manufacturer or model.
What are my payment options?
ESCO offers flexible payment options to fit your budget. Pay in full or Monthly payment which allows you to pay for coverage over a 12 month period.
What is a Quote ID?
A Quote ID is a personalized quote that you had requested previously online. You may have printed the information, or this information may have been emailed to the email address provided. Below is a sample of a quote.

What form of payment is accepted?
ESCO accepts Major credit cards and electronic check.

Please note that if you are using an HSA card, you will want to contact your plan administrator and see if ESCO is an approved purchase. ESCO is classified as Property Insurance.
Is it better to pay in full or in 12 monthly installments?
Monthly payments may work better with your budget; however, paying the premium in full can help lower your annual premium.
What if I have a claim while on a payment plan?

Can I pay off my payment plan early or make extra payments?
Yes, you can make additional payments or pay off the remaining balance at any time during the policy period.
Renewal
Where can I find my policy number?
The policy number is located on your renewal notice, see sample below. Please enter the policy number exactly as shown on the notice, including any decimals.

You will want to notify ESCO of your new purchase. Typically, new hearing aid purchases come with a manufacturer’s warranty, you will want to check with your hearing care provider for the exact warranty dates.
Can I cancel my coverage?
Coverage can be cancelled by you at any time simply by contacting our customer service team. We will refund any unearned premium.
